Cruising sails that go beyond expectations

Because most sailors enjoy the thrill of racing and the freedom of cruising, we have dedicated ourselves to crafting performance cruising sails that deliver speed, comfort, and reliability. Our cruising sails offer a variety of premium Dacron sail cloths and select X-Drive load-path laminate sails. We are here to discuss the best options to fit your sailing needs.

Cruising Mainsails

Whether motoring through a glass calm or reefed down in 30 knots, your mainsail must consistently perform in all conditions. To meet these demands, UK Sailmakers offers a selection of materials and batten configurations to meet your needs and keep you on budget.

Cruising Genoas

Cruising headsails (Passagemakers), are roller-furling designed sails with UV protection along the foot and leech, and can be roller-reefed to accommodate changing wind conditions. UK will design the appropriate Passagemaker using select materials and designs to meet your sailing needs.

Cruising Spinakers

Cruising sailors typically use an all-purpose asymmetrical spinnaker with a dousing sock (Snuffer), or a cruising Code Zero. The cruising Code Zero is a flatter reaching sail that roller furls (typically to a bowsprit) providing better performance in lighter wind conditions. UK will help you choose the appropriate spinnaker for your type of sailing and keep you on budget.

Storm Sails

Storm sails provide the confidence and control needed when conditions deteriorate. There are three sails classified as storm sails: a heavy weather jib, a storm jib, and a storm trysail. All three are a must for boats heading offshore.

Accessories for Cruising Sails
